How long does copyright last?
Copyright lasts at least the length of the author's/creator's life, and often for a further 70 years after the death of the author.
How long does it take to join?
In less than 5 minutes, you can join and register a copyright. Our system is very easy to use and we offer human support 24/7.
Are there any hidden fees?
Absolutely not. The prices for copyright registration, as shown above, are fixed one-off fees. Once that charge has been paid once, that's it - your copyrights will be protected for life and you can log in at any time from any device to manage your copyrights and register further copyrights.
What is an affidavit?
An affidavit is a written statement confirmed by oath or affirmation, for use as evidence. Should someone copy your work or should you be accused of copying someone else's work, Copyright Index will provide an affidavit to legal professionals and/or a court of law to prove that you own the copyright. Proving you own the copyright avoids a lengthy and costly legal process.
What are infringement deterent links?
If a copyrighted work is published, either online or offline, a great deterent against someone copying that work is to include a link to your copyright certificate on or next to the work. There are many reasons why you may want to create a link to your copyright certificates. Marking the work as copyright registered & protected shows you mean business when it comes to protecting your work. You may also need to link to your copyright certificates when someone accuses you of copying their work, or when someone has copied your work. Presenting your certificate gives proof that you are the copyright owner.
